Grant Win for Manly Dam!

Great News! We are one of the recipients of the Northern Beaches Council Environment Grant.

This grant supports our work of many years and recognises the immense biodiversity that exists in the Manly Dam Catchment. The purpose of this grant is to help us share this biodiversity with the community in an educational program that we call “Backyard Biodiversity: Explore, Learn, Protect”
The grant will work with an expert to identify some of the wild and wonderful creatures of Manly Dam and help showcase them to the community in respectful and inclusive walking tours to be announced in early 2026.
This is a wonderful acknowledgement of the important conservation work that the community of volunteers have undertaken over the years to protect this piece of pristine bushland. Watch this space for updates as we make progress.

Manly Dam Biodiversity Project

This is an initiative of the Save Manly Dam Catchment Committee as part of the Communities Environment Program funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Industry, Innovation and Science . Special thanks to Zali Steggal, MP, with additional funding provided by Northern Beaches Council and Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF). The grant funding paid for professional ecological surveys of flora and fauna in Manly Warringah War Memorial Park and immediate environs plus broader data cross referencing. All other Save Manly Dam Catchment Committee activities (including the creation of this website) are conducted on a volunteer basis.
